My biggest pay-check – Came Yesterday

By Caleb Spilchen On April 16, 2010 Under Site Updates

Didn’t I just say the other day, that the Canadian Webmaster, Caleb, wasn’t making money online then?

Yes, I remember that I told you guys, that I was having a few days without a cent. Well I wanted to update everyone today.

I just got a paycheck of $600.

I sold a company, I won’t go into all the details but I just wanted to tell my visitors that. Now to the real point of this article, it’s investing; I want to talk about investing in companies.

Investing in your future, and most of all investing for a greater return in the future.

I put about $75 into this company (maybe less) and my return was $600, which puts my GROSS profit at around $525. This is pretty amazing for a flip.

Ok… This is starting to seem like fluff. Here’s your question:

How do I start a company, (or buy one) and flip it for a nice profit.

Well, you either find a company that is for sale at a good price, or you start one. Remember at the start your going to have to put in money. The reason being you want to make a good company so that someone will actually want to purchase it.

Now you’re going to ask.

Ok, I made up this darn good company… How do I sell it?

Your also asking how much will I get for it… Both of these questions cannot be answered flat out. The truth is that these are what in math and coding we call a variable. This means that they can change.

They change dependent upon the sale the company, the market, etc etc… There are so many causes that can affect the sale price and where you can sell it.

So let’s get down to the basics:

Where to sell?

What’s your product? Choose somewhere suitable based on the company your selling, if your selling a hosting company, you will want to go to something like a hosting forum, (http://www.webhostingtalk.com) where there are many people looking for that time of product.

The point is you WANT to find a buyer – who is interested in the EXACT Company that you are trying to sell.

Price….

The company I sold got an offer that was double, what I got in the end, the day after I had made the sale. I must admit I regretted my sale a bit, but I also knew that I got the sale, and who knows if the other would have turned out.

The point I am making, is that when you get an offer you feel is suitable, take it, you may regret it later. But, you never know if that person would have moved on, and the other offer fall through.

I also wanted to announce that here at bozonessinc.ca we will now be providing hosting services. We have been approved as a burst.net reseller.

Cheers,

Caleb Spilchen
